05 — O Founder’s Voice THE STORY BEHIND ANTICA NINE
My journey as a creator began in the world of music.
Working in the music industry, I was surrounded by artists and creatives who expressed who they were through music, fashion, and visual culture.
Without saying a word, their sense of beauty, their values, and the way they chose to live could be felt.
Being close to that world shaped the way I create today.
To me, jewellery is also a form of self-expression.
It is not simply something beautiful to wear. It can reflect what we value, the choices we have made, and the life we have lived.
And sometimes, a single piece of jewellery can lift our spirits, give us confidence, and remind us of the strength we already carry within us.
When I moved to Singapore, both my surroundings and the roles I held in life changed significantly. It was during this time that I began asking myself:
“What do I truly want to do in the next chapter of my life?”
Part of me wanted to begin something new, while another part wondered whether it was too late to start.
Then my mother said something to me that stayed with me:
“It is never too late to begin something new.
Do what you love, and use it to bring something meaningful to others.”
Her words gave me the courage to step into my own next chapter.
And as I met women in Singapore of different ages, nationalities, cultures, and backgrounds, one feeling grew stronger within me.
Women who carry many experiences and roles through life, yet continue to enjoy life on their own terms and keep moving forward.
There is something powerful, beautiful, and undeniably cool about them.
Joy, pain, uncertainty, challenge — every experience leaves something behind.
Together, these chapters shape a strength, intelligence, and presence that belong to that woman alone.
And with everything she has lived through, her beauty only deepens.
ANTICA NINE was born from my connection with these women, and from a deep admiration for the way they live.
